Evidence Based. From the Kitchen Table.

Why the kitchen table? When I was in private practice, most of my consults took place at either my kitchen table or my client’s kitchen table. Personally, I think it’s the best place to talk about food, nutrition, fears, feelings, regrets… It’s where we can get really deep, or at least talk in the setting where most of our worthwhile conversations take place. This is where the education happens.

My goal is to provide evidence based nutrition education and guidance that is straightforward and easy to understand and share. We live in a time where (mis)information reaches us in the form of 15 second “hacks” over social media or via an influencer’s sponsored post. It’s easy to get caught up in the marketing and forget what we were searching for in the first place: information.

I’ll provide these posts in the form of a newsletter (still working out those details but contact me if you’re interested in receiving it), through occasional instagram posts (follow me @amy_baer_blog) or you can just visit me here and see what’s new!

Did you know that the human body produces 95% of it’s serotonin in the gut?

No wonder your gut is called the body’s “second brain”. Do you know what makes me happy? Writing nutrition content that is fun to read, easy to understand and backed by research.
